30 Day Shred: I’m a Real Girl

Ok guys.. it’s time to get real with ourselves. This is for all my followers, reading this will REALLY help you. I’m putting myself out there, and getting real with you. I’m being honest, and it’s not going to be pretty, but it will be worth it!

 

The honest confessions of A-Fitspirational-Blonde.

 

Soooo… this is embarrassing… half way through eating a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream this afternoon, a piece of chocolate fell from my spoon; and before it had a chance to fall onto my lap, it was caught by a little pooch of fat on my stomach!! I looked over to my right to grab a paper towel (to wipe the chocolate off of my white shirt|) when I accidentally caught a glance of myself in the mirror, and then… it happened.

 

WHAT HAVE I LET HAPPEN TO MY BODY???!!!

 

In the mirror when I looked over to grab the paper towel, for the first time I saw my present self. My posture was awful, my stomach was hanging out all loose and carefree and I had half a pint of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream in one hand and a TV remote control in the other…. At that very moment (exactly 43 minutes ago) was when I realized that something needed to change… and IMMEDIATELY. 

 

How I have gotten so caught up with work, school and other things around me that I’ve forgotten just how much I loved to live a “Fitspirational life”?? I’ve forgotten the feeling that I get after an incredible work out, I’ve forgotten the taste of a delicious protein shake after an incredible run.

 

Endorphin’s where art thou? 

 

So yes I could lie and say I’ve been exercising every day and eating nutritionally at every meal… but I’m a real girl and this is my real health blog so I’m not going to be fake and say I’m perfect.

 

A year ago when I made this health blog I decided it was going to be real. I wasn’t going to lie about my name, hide my identity and pretend that I am live the perfect “fitspirational life” by blogging and writing about things I just think others would want to read about in order to get followers. 

That’s not what this is about. That is not why I made this blog. I made this blog to support other girls in THEIR Fitspirational journey’s as I’m inspired by them on mine.

We’re all in this together guys, don’t forget that. 

“A-Fitspirational-Blonde” is about my Fitspirational journey, to support you in yours.

So I’ve completely redone my theme (check it out and tell me what you guys all think!!) because I am ready to kick my lazy butt into shape and Fitspire all of my lovely followers (and everyone who reads along) to get fit and healthy with me!

 

No matter where you are on your fitness journey, it’s never too late to be the person that you’ve always wanted to be. If you’re 400lbs or 100lbs, there is ALWAYS something that you can do to improve your health life!

 

So Brittany, what are you going to do to start getting healthy and living fit again?

That’s where the 30 Day Shred comes in :)

 

There is noone better out there to help me kick my lazy blonde butt back into shape better than Jillian Michaels! Just one look from her fierce and scary glare, would make me drop 50 squats and run ten miles around the block!

 

So instead of putting the other 1/2 of Ben and Jerrys Cherry Garcia Ica Cream back into the freezer (where I know I’d be tempted to eat it later) I THREW IT IN THE TRASH! You have no idea how gratifying and thrilling that felt. 

No more excuses Brittany, it’s time to get your sh*t together.

After winning my sugar war with Ben and Jerry, I literally RAN to my kitchen, filled up my Victoria’s Secret water bottle (which is new but I shamefully have never used it) made a quick stop in my bedroom for my little hand weights (that were SHAMEFULLY DUSTY) and sprinted down to my living room to work out to the first video of 3 videos for the 30 Day Shred. 

 

 

Today was day 1 of the 30 day shred. I finished all 26:36 minutes of it and it KICKED MY BUTT!I didn’t realize how out of shape I was until 1/3 of the way through the video I was literally panting and sweating bullets just after doing 15 jumping jacks... how lame is that??!! 

Last summer when I did the 30 day shred… by the end of the day 30 I could do 200 jumping jacks, at least 60 push ups, and I LITERALLY THOUGHT EATING FRUIT TASTED BETTER THAN CHOCOLATE CAKE! 

I can’t wait to get back to being able to do that again, and kick start my fitspirational life!

So here is my promise to you: I will clear out my VERY FULL inbox and answer all of your hundreds of questions within the next few days so that people can start asking again. I will do the 30 day shred EVERY day (no excuses) and blog about how i’m doing, how I feel, and if I’ve seen any progress yet. I’ll start writing my fitness and advice articles again and do my best to write and reblog what I think is beneficial for all of us to know as much as I possibly can!
